Q: Which sheets does this holder take?
A: It is specified for 30 x 50cm sheets. The holders are not adjustable, so check your sheet size before ordering.
Q: What if my sheets are a different size?
A: The larger wall holder takes 32.5 x 53 up to 40 x 60. Profboard make three holders in total, and none of them is specified for the 30 x 40 or 24 x 34 sheets, so ask us first if those are your sizes.
Q: Why not just keep the sheets in a drawer?
A: Because stacked sheets stay damp between the layers. A holder keeps them upright and apart so they dry properly, which is what keeps a washed sheet clean until you use it.
Q: Does it help in any other way?
A: Yes. With each colour visible and separated, picking the right one becomes automatic. In a drawer you are guessing, and guessing is how the wrong sheet gets used.
Q: Where should I put it?
A: Close to where you prep and away from splash from the sink or hob. A holder that is awkward to reach does not get used, and the sheets end up back in a drawer.
Q: Will it survive a kitchen?
A: It is stainless steel, so it cleans down like everything else around it and it does not mind steam or splash. Profboard holders are NSF certified to NSF/ANSI 2.
Q: Is it hard to fit?
A: It mounts to a wall, so the fixings depend on what your wall is made of. Tiled and clad walls need the right fixing, which is worth sorting before you start.
Q: How many sheets does it hold?
A: Enough for a full working set of colours kept separate and reachable, which is the point of it.
Q: What if I cannot drill into the wall?
A: There is a table-top version that stands on the counter. It suits islands, rented kitchens and anywhere you would rather not make holes.
Q: Do I really need a holder?
A: If you have bought several colours, you have bought a separation system. Storing them in a pile works against it, so the holder is what makes the system actually work.
